Marketing Suite and review requests

Turn finished jobs into Google reviews: set up the Marketing Suite add-on, choose the status that sends the text, handle private feedback, and text past customers.

Marketing Suite is a paid add-on that texts your customers for a review after a finished job, sends happy customers to Google, and brings unhappy ones to you privately first.

Turn it on

  1. The owner opens Settings, then Company, and turns on Marketing automation. This adds a Marketing tab for your team.
  2. Open the Marketing tab and click Add Marketing Suite, or buy it from Settings, then Billing. It is priced per month for your whole team, billed as its own subscription, and you can cancel anytime. The current price is shown on the page.

Owners and admins manage Marketing. Reps can see it but not change settings.

Set up review requests

After buying, the Marketing tab shows a two-step checklist:

  1. Google Business Profile. Search for your business on Google and confirm the match. No profile yet? Use the link to create one, or Skip for now.
  2. Status that sends the text. Pick the lead status that means a job is done, like Contract Signed or Job Complete. Closed statuses are listed first. Choose None to pause.

A preview shows the exact text your customers will receive.

How a review request works

  1. A rep moves a prospect to the chosen status.
  2. If the prospect has a mobile number and has agreed to texts, LeadScout queues one text. The stock text reads like "Thanks for choosing us for your roofing job! How did we do?" with a short link, and always starts with your business name and ends with "Reply STOP to opt out."
  3. The text waits for the hold you chose under Waits before sending: right away, 30 minutes, 1 hour or 4 hours. During the hold, the prospect's activity feed shows the queued text with Send now, Edit and Cancel.
  4. Texts only go out between 8am and 9pm in the customer's local time.
  5. The customer taps the link and rates you from 1 to 5 stars. 4 and 5 stars get a thank-you and a button to leave a Google review. 1 to 3 stars get a private form, Send to the owner, and the owner and every admin receive an email so someone can call before the customer posts publicly.

Each customer is asked once, ever.

Record consent

Carriers require consent before marketing texts. Open the prospect's contact details and use the text message opt-in form: hand the screen to the customer, who confirms their mobile number and ticks the consent box. A prospect without a phone number or consent is skipped, and the prospect shows why.

Customize the text

On the Review requests card, click the message to edit it. You can use {FirstName}, {BusinessName} and {ServiceType}; your business name, the link and the opt-out line are added automatically, and the whole text must fit one SMS. Reset to default restores the stock text. Click Customer page to preview what customers see.

Private feedback and stats

The Marketing tab shows the last 30 days: review texts Sent, how many customers Opened the link, Google clicks from happy customers, Private feedback from unhappy ones, and your average rating. Private feedback is listed with the customer's words, address, rep and a call button; mark each one handled when you have followed up. Unhandled feedback is counted on the Marketing tab badge in the mobile app.

Text your past customers

Under Past customers, upload a CSV of names and mobile numbers, confirm those customers agreed to receive texts, review who will be texted and send. Each person gets one review request, spread over a few days at a sensible hour. Customers you have already asked are skipped.

Coming soon

Landing pages, Google Local Services Ads and social posting are planned and will be included in the add-on.

On your phone

The Marketing tab shows the same setup, stats, past customers and private feedback. Buying the add-on happens on the website.

Questions

I do not see Marketing in my settings. Why?

Marketing is rolling out gradually. If the Marketing automation switch is not under Settings, then Company, it is not available for your account yet.

Can a customer get more than one review request?

No. Each customer is texted once, ever, even if their status changes again later. Customers who reply STOP are never texted again.

What if I do not have a Google Business Profile yet?

Click the link to create one on Google, or choose Skip for now. Requests still send; happy customers see a thank-you page instead of a Google link until you connect a profile.

How many texts can I send?

Up to 5,000 in your first 30 days with the add-on, then 2,000 per calendar month. The Review requests card shows how many sends you have left. Texts over the cap wait for the next month.
