Account and billing
Plans, seats and billing
How much each plan costs and what it includes, how seats and property data pulls are billed, and how to upgrade, change or cancel your subscription.
Billing lives under Settings, then Billing. Only the owner can open it. On your phone, Profile, then Plan & Usage shows your plan and usage, and Manage your account opens the website in your browser, where all plan changes happen.
Plans
- Free: $0. Up to 100 prospects in total and 10 property data pulls in total, neither of which resets. Unlimited users, the mobile app, custom lead statuses, and import and export.
- Scout Buddy: $10 per user per month, or $8 per user per month when billed annually. Unlimited prospects, new-homeowner leads, 150 property data pulls per user each month, Google Calendar sync, and email and SMS support.
- Pro: $40 per user per month, or $28 per user per month when billed annually. Everything in Scout Buddy, plus 1,500 property data pulls per user each month, territories, Zapier, CompanyCam, AI agents and the LeadScout API.
- Enterprise: custom pricing, with 3,000 property data pulls per user each month and more. Email sales@leadscoutapp.com.
Scout Buddy and Pro bill a minimum of 2 seats. Annual billing saves up to 30%.
Seats
Paid plans are priced per seat. Every member of your organization uses a seat, and so does each active LeadScout API key. You buy seats; they are not simply counted from your team list.
- Inviting someone past the seats you own adds a seat automatically. The prorated charge for the rest of the billing period is invoiced right away. Before you send an invite, LeadScout tells you whether it changes your bill.
- Removing a member leaves an open seat. Under Seats on the Billing page, change the number and click Update seats to buy seats ahead of hiring or release open ones. Unused time on released seats is credited to your next invoice.
- You can't go below one seat per member and API key, or below the 2-seat minimum.
- You can buy up to 500 seats yourself. Larger teams go through sales.
- On Enterprise, inviting past your seats still adds one automatically. For other seat changes, contact your account manager.
Prospects and property data pulls
On the Free plan, prospects are capped at 100 in total. Paid plans have unlimited prospects.
A property data pull is one property lookup for a pin. Free includes 10 pulls in total. Paid plans include a monthly allowance per user, pooled across your seats, that resets each month on your billing day. The Usage card on the Billing page shows how many you have used and when they reset. When you run out, new pins still work; they just don't include property data until the allowance resets. See Property data, leads and insights.
Upgrade
- Open Settings, then Billing, and scroll to Available Plans. Choose Monthly or Annual.
- Click Upgrade on the plan you want.
- On Set up your plan, pick the plan, the number of seats and the billing interval. The amount due today is shown.
- Click Continue to payment and enter your card details.
If you already have a paid subscription, upgrading opens the billing portal so you can confirm the change. For Enterprise, click Contact Sales.
Change your plan, update your card or cancel
Click Manage subscription on the Billing page. It opens the billing portal, where you can download invoices, update your payment method, change plans and cancel. Clicking Downgrade on a plan card takes you to the same portal.
If you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. Until then, LeadScout shows a banner with the cancellation date and a Reactivate link.
If a payment fails or your subscription ends
- When a payment fails, everyone on the team sees a Payment failed banner. You keep working while the subscription is past due; the owner should update the card from Settings, then Billing.
- Once a paid subscription is canceled or unpaid, the web app sends the owner to the Billing page with the message Your subscription has ended. Choose a plan below to restore access. Pick a plan to continue.
- When the subscription ends for good, the organization moves to the Free plan. Your prospects stay, but the Free limits apply and Pro features such as territories, Zapier, CompanyCam and the API turn off.
The Marketing Suite add-on
Marketing Suite is a separate monthly add-on for your whole team, billed on its own subscription. Buy it from the Billing page or from the Marketing tab, and manage it through Manage subscription like your plan. See Marketing and review requests.
Teams moved from the previous LeadScout
If your team moved over from the previous version of LeadScout, the seats you had there stay on your original plan and price. Seats you add on top are billed at current pricing, and the Billing page tells you how many seats are on each. LeadScout can move all your seats to current pricing from your next renewal; we tell you before that happens.
Questions
Can I pay for just one seat?
No. Scout Buddy and Pro are built for teams and bill a minimum of 2 seats. If you canvass alone, stay on the Free plan.
Do admins and reps cost the same?
Yes. Every member of the organization uses one seat at your plan price, whatever their role. Each active LeadScout API key uses a seat too.
What happens to my prospects if I cancel?
They stay in your account. When the subscription ends, your organization moves to the Free plan, so the Free limits apply: 100 prospects in total, and Pro features like territories and integrations turn off.
Why can I not see the Billing page?
Only the owner can see and manage billing. Ask your account owner for plan changes.
