Working the field
Find your way around the map
Search for an address, follow your location, switch to satellite, filter which pins show, and read pin colors, clusters, territories and green lead dots on the web and phone map.
The map is where you see every house your team has knocked. This page covers moving around and reading the map. To add houses, see Drop pins and add prospects.
On the web, open Prospect Map in the sidebar. On your phone, open the Map tab.
What is on the map
Pins
Each prospect is a round pin colored by its current lead status. The colors come from your company's statuses, so a "Sold" pin is whatever color your team gave "Sold". A gray pin has no status yet. Owners and admins change statuses and colors under lead statuses. See Lead statuses.
When you open a pin, it turns into a larger teardrop marker so you can see which one you are looking at.
Clusters
When you zoom out, nearby pins group into blue circles with a number on them. The number is how many pins are inside. Click or tap a circle to zoom in on it. Keep zooming in and the circles split into single pins.
Green dots: new-homeowner leads
Green dots are new homeowners near your pins. They group into green numbered circles when you zoom out, just like pins. After you drop a pin, a message such as "2 new homeowner leads found near your pin" may appear when new ones are found.
Territories
On Pro and higher, territories show as shaded blue areas with a round badge in the middle. The badge shows the territory's initials. Click or tap the badge to open the territory. See Territories.
There is no legend on the map. Your status colors are listed in the filters, next to each status name.
Open a pin or lead
Click or tap a pin to open its panel. On a computer it opens on the right side. On a phone or narrow screen it slides up from the bottom. From there you can set a status, add notes and tags.
Click or tap a green dot to see the lead's address, owner, sale date and property details. Choose Add as Prospect to turn it into a pin, or Dismiss lead to hide it.
On the web, press Escape to close an open panel.
Use the map on the web
Search
Type in the Search prospects, territories, places... box at the top left. Results come in three groups:
- Prospects: matches by name, phone, email, address or note. Choosing one flies to the pin and opens it.
- Territories: matches by territory name. Choosing one opens the territory.
- Places: addresses. Choosing one drops a new pin at that address and opens it.
Only choose a place if you want a prospect there. To just look at a prospect you already have, pick it from the Prospects group.
Map buttons
The buttons on the right side, from the top:
- Switch to satellite view (the map button): switches between street and satellite view. Click it again to go back to the street map.
- Zoom in and Zoom out (the plus and minus buttons). You can also scroll or pinch.
- Turbo pin mode (the lightning button). See Drop pins and add prospects.
- Draw territory (the flag button). Pro and higher only.
- Show map tour (the question-mark button). Replays the short map tour.
The web map has no button to find your location. Search for the address instead. The map remembers where you left it in this browser. The first time, it zooms to fit your pins.
Use the map on your phone
When the map first opens it asks for your location and shows Locating... for a moment. If you decline, the map still works. Use search to find the street.
Map buttons
The buttons stack on the bottom right, from the top:
- Location arrow: tap once to center on where you are. Tap again to follow you as you walk. The button gets a white ring while following. Tap a third time, or drag the map, to stop following.
- Layers: switches between the standard map and satellite. The button turns blue while satellite is on.
- Lightning: turbo mode. See Drop pins and add prospects.
- Flag: draw a territory. Pro and higher only.
- Magnifying glass: opens search.
- Question mark: replays the short map tour.
- QR code: opens My Card, your digital business card for the homeowner to scan.
Search
Tap the magnifying glass and type in Search prospects, territories, addresses.... Results are grouped into Prospects, Territories and Addresses. Picking an address drops a new pin there and opens it, just like on the web.
Filter which pins show
On the web, click Filter next to the search box. On your phone, tap Filters at the bottom left.
You can narrow the map by:
- Show: Prospects, Leads, or both. Leave both off to see everything.
- Status: one or more statuses, or No Status.
- Date range (called Last Visit on the phone): prospects created or given a status in that period. Green dots are matched by their sale date, and territories by when they were created.
- Team members: pins assigned to certain reps, or Unassigned.
- Tags.
- Location: city, state or zip. Web only.
- Owner Occupancy, New Homeowner and Property Type, from property data.
- Review request, if Marketing is turned on for your company.
Active filters show as chips over the map. Tap the x on a chip to remove it, or use Clear All. To keep a set of filters, save it under Saved Views. Your saved views are your own, and they appear on both the web and the app.
On the web, the top of the filter panel shows how many prospects match, such as "120 of 450 prospects".
Why can I not see my pins?
- The date filter. The map starts on This Year. Prospects nobody has visited or updated this year are hidden. Remove the chip, choose All Time, or clear all filters. Your first-ever visit to the map starts on All Time.
- Other filters. Look for chips over the map. On your phone, the Filters button turns blue and shows a count when any are on.
- Show is set to Leads. Turn on Prospects in the Show filter.
- You are zoomed out. Pins are grouped into numbered circles. Zoom in or tap a circle.
- You are looking at the wrong area. Search for a prospect by name or address to jump to it.
- No territories or green dots. Territories need Pro or higher. Green dots need property data and new-homeowner leads turned on for your company.
Questions
Why are my pins not showing on the map?
The map starts filtered to This Year, so prospects with no visit or status change this year are hidden. Remove the This Year chip, choose All Time, or tap Clear All. Also check the Show filter is not set to Leads only, and zoom in if you only see numbered circles.

Each pin takes the color of its current lead status. Gray pins have no status yet. Blue numbered circles are groups of pins, and green dots are new-homeowner leads.
How do I make the map follow me while I walk?
On your phone, tap the location arrow once to center on you, then tap it again to follow you. Tap it a third time, or drag the map, to stop following. The web map has no location button.
